Reflection & Outcome

This project marked my first venture into designing a low-poly, nature-heavy environment, allowing me to develop both my environment and level design skills. I created a quest that complemented the scale and layout of the world, ensuring balanced progression and pacing. Developing an engaging VR tutorial for this precise body motion-reliant project also highlighted the unique challenges of VR onboarding & user affordances which is distinct from conventional PC games. Rigorous playtesting further deepened my understanding of clear, intuitive VR tutorial design. In the end of the project my team did so well that it was selected for showcase at the QUT Immersive Festival and QUT Open Day 2025. My tutorial was also praised by my lecturer to be 'One of the best tutorials I have seen in student games so far'
